It's a bit tough to figure out who actually lived in the current home in its earliest years. It is possible that Samuel Page lived in a home on the land that might have burned - see the history of the Samuel Page House. As you can see, he was not listed as living at 305 in 1897 or 1900. It is possible that the house was actually rebuilt in 1900 at 305 Prospect. The architectural features, however, jibe with the 1880s. Samuel's daughter (born around 1872) is listed as 50 in 1922, her last year in the house. The Youldens lived there in 1923.

Samuel H. Page (cabinetmaker, carpenter and car shops although it does not list him as living at 305 in the 1897 directory and has him listed at 275 Prospect in the 1900 directory; he is listed at 305 in the 1903 and 1906 directories as retired captain. He died or moved elsewhere sometime between this directory and the next in 1908.
